When the World is Gone

The winds whispering to the soulless sacks
Moving without thoughts knives stuck in their backs
Unseeing eyes watching out with flies
Buzzing in their brains as gray matter dries
Weightlessness of their limbs heaviness of their sins
Mouths hung open wide jaws unhinge
A void wrap in a fish sun drying upon a dead wish
Boils covering their rotting tongues kissing frogs bake upon a dish
Moving upon Conveyor belts over quick sand down life’s path
Haunting memories welcoming you home at last
Hair dirty and in thinning strains curled up in lice
Alienating us from ourselves for the rest of our lives
Blood shot blacken out eyes hanging down upon our skinless cheeks
Slowly we limp upon dead man’s feet
Hot blistering sands blowing across dried up seas
Long gone is mankind and all of our trees
Souls wondering near and far
Past destroyed buildings and rusted out cars
end
