The Sea & The Breeze

The sound of the waves splashing about in play, dancing merrily with the salt water scent of her perfume
Seaweeds bobbing their heads in tune with the moon’s glow, as the world darken while the night rises
The fog thickens in my head, as my thoughts drift off towards the dead
Beached whales gasping for air, knowing too late they could not grow legs and become what they dare
While my mind sailed off with time, I did not hear his footsteps approaching my door
For the sea’s roars drowning out his soft footsteps, I notice his jet black hair had yet to be wet
As he creeps towards the water’s edge, I felt his heat as he stood so close to me, we had yet to meet
There we stood one from the past one, one home at last
His eyes a dark blue as moonless night’s pools, teeth so white they cut through the night, like those of a well-kept ghoul
Tan was his skin; I saw a hint of a grin, as the wind blew kisses through his hair
In his hand he held a board, a vessel to ride the waves, for he was her slave
The sea his master, my fear was this would only end in disaster
But I just stood there aware, waiting for the chains to come and his world would come undone, then I could do what no other has dared
Slowly from the sea they did creep, like snakes of green, wrapping slowly around his feet
They shot up out of the sand, seaweed chains entrapping him real tight, the sea queen wanted her knight
He did struggle back, not wanting to be trap like a wild animal he was cage, the sea rage grew stronger, for he would not be human much longer
As she began to drag him toward his grave, now the question is would he die or would he be saved?
Atlas he did not pray, but I could hear his soul giving out, wanting to be freed
Taking a chance I released a breath, freezing the waves as they came crashing in, forming an icy cave
The Murmon turn his head, thinking that he was now dead
I step out of the shadows; he thought he was seeing double, as I mirrored his image to a T
Encircling him with an ice bubble, to keep him out of trouble, as the sea screams out her rage
Smiling at the angry sea, as I sent her knight off on a gentle breeze, towards calmer sea waters, where the other otters gathered to play
With the Murmon safely gone, I step into the turbulent sea, as our battle began; we raised and lowered the deadly waters
Now when you walk along the shores late at night, you can still hear our big fight, as the sea battles with the breeze
For the One Who is Slaved to the Sea
